The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the agreement reached on 24 November in Geneva between the P5 +1 group of negotiators (China, France, Germany, Russia, UK and the U.S.) and Iranian authorities, on Iran's nuclear program.

This agreement marks a positive step to deter Iran's nuclear program beyond civil and peaceful purposes permitted under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assesses its importance in increasing confidence to support and promote the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

The full implementation of this agreement will contribute to the establishment of stability, peace and security in the Middle East and beyond.
